A regular jogger reported passing the same landmark — a decommissioned ferry landing sign — three times during what should have been a single pass on her usual loop route. Her fitness tracker’s GPS log showed a single continuous six-minute segment with no gap, despite her account of passing the same point three times.

GPS drift near water is a known, well-documented technical artifact, and we consider that the most likely explanation. The case is archived on that basis, though the witness maintains the tracker’s account doesn’t match her subjective experience of the run.
